Pecans Delicious And Nutritious

Pecans is the nut that I use the most in my recipes, I just love the mellow, yet crisp flavour of them, they are so easy to add to any menu, from breakfast to dessert and do not forget snacks or just to eat out of your hands.

This Honey Green Beans With Pecans and Cranberry recipe is so easy to make and is full of your daily nutrition.


  • 2 lbs green beans, trimmed and halved on the diagonal,

  • 2 tbsp honey,

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 1 cup chopped pecans,

  • ½ cup dried cranberries,

  • 1 tsp grated orange zest (optional), Salt and pepper.

    Cook beans in a large pot of boiling water until tender crisp. About 4 minutes.Drain, melt butter and honey in large sauce pan over medium heat. Add beans, pecans, cranberries and orange zest, tossing to coat.Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serves 8.

    To make pecans easier to shell, bring some water to a boil, then turn off heat. Put your unshelled pecans into the water and let soak for 12 minutes.
