When I think of apple crisp I think of eating it on a cold winters night, this is one dessert that will give you a warm feeling just thinking about it, it is so simple to make and have only six ingredients, which I am sure you already have in your kitchen cupboard. You can make apple crisp your own by just adding your favourite dried fruits like cranberries,raisins, fresh or canned to it.
Apples have a wider variety of uses than most other fruits. They can be served with any course, raw or cooked, hot or cold and are available all year.

Filling 12 cups sliced apples 2 tbsp lemon juice
For the Topping: 2/3 cup all-purpose flour 3/4 cup rolled oats 2 cups brown or white sugar 2/3 cup butter or margarine
Arrange apples in greased baking pan and sprinkle with lemon juice. Mix flour, oats and sugar. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over apples.
Bake at 375 degrees until apples are tender and topping is lightly browned. Bake 1 hourServe with ice cream or whipped topping.Servings for 12
