Broccoli Salad

This broccoli salad is not only beautiful to serve with the red grapes and green onions, but nutritious too, it is easy to prepare and can be made the day before your dinner, on the day of your dinner just add the grapes.

In the dressing there is a secret ingredient curry (the best kind is from Jamaica), don't be scared off by curry it will give your salad a delicate taste and all your friends will be asking what is that flavour?

Ingredients:

  • 2 pkg 4 bunches Broccoli ( florets cut off),
  • 2 cups grapes ( cut in half),
  • ½ cup green onions ( chopped),
  • ½ cup celery.

    Dressing

  • 1 cup mayonnaise,
  • ½ cup sugar,
  • 2 tablespoon vinegar,
  • ½ tablespoon curry (try to find Jamaican curry).

    Mix all ingredients for dressing and pour over broccoli, grapes, green onions and celery.The longer this salad marinates the better it taste.If you like almonds, then sprinkle some slivered almonds on top.


    This beautiful green flower can be used in so many recipes, from raw, steamed, stir fried, sauces, soups and casseroles.

    Preparation

    Wash in cold water, remove coarse leaves and woody ends.Cut off flowers to be used raw or cooked, you can peel the rest of the stem and slice to cook or use in soup or casseroles.

    Steamed is best, but if not use only a little water, so you can keep the nutrients.
