24 Hour Vegetable Salad

This 24 hour vegetable salad will free you up to do other things you need to get done on the day of your party, any time I have taken this salad to a gathering there is never any left to take home, I know you will be making it again.

Ingredients

  • 2 Head Iceberg lettuce,( torn up )
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 12 Hard-boiled eggs. (Sliced)
  • 2 10-ounce package frozen peas thawed.
  • 1lb bacon, crisp cooked, drained and crumbled.
  • 4 cups shredded swiss cheese ( 8 oz)
  • 3 cup mayonnaise

    Preparation:

    In the bottom of a large bowl place 3 cups of lettuce, sprinkle with sugar, salt and pepper.Layer eggs on top of lettuce in bowl, standing some egg slices on edge around bowl, sprinkle generously with more salt. (optional).Layer in order: peas, remaining lettuce bacon and cheese. Spread mayonnaise or salad dressing over top. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

    Makes: 12-15 Servings
